2003 Campaign: Burlington Resources and Halliburton Energy Services Bustin' Clay for United Way Raises Over $24,000 for United Way of Midland
Saturday, September 20th was the 2nd Annual Bustin' Clay for United Way Sporting Clay Championship, held at Windwalker Farms Sporting Clay Complex. Thank you to the individuals and businesses that worked hard to make this event a big success. Steve Wilbanks, owner of Windwalker, donated gaming event proceeds to the United Way. Kevin Willhite, owner of Soft Touch Chiropractic, was on site offering chiropractic adjustments to participants - all of these proceeds were donated to United Way. Hot dogs, chili and other fixings were donated by Mike McClanahan of WalMart and prepared by the Halliburton Energy Services "Dream Team." Coca-Cola of Midland donated drinks.
The combined effort of all of these generous individuals and businesses brought in over $24,000 to United Way of Midland that is $5,000 more than last year's event! This money goes to help kids succeed; strengthen and support families; assist in basic and emergency needs; and promote health, wellness and independence.
This successful event is one of the many ways that Midlanders join together to have a good time and invest in what matters - our community!
