• Friday, October 10th - Deadline for registering to participate in Days of Caring (see below)
  
  
• Thursday, October 16th - Dunk your boss on Boss’s Day - Centers for Children & Families will have a Dunk Your Boss event as part of their fundraising campaign for United Way of Midland.
  
  Mayor Mike Canon, City Council members, United Way Campaign Chair Jim Byerlotzer, United Way Executive Director Cindy Benson, Jim Henry of Henry Petroleum and other bosses have graciously agreed to be “dunked” for a good cause.
  
  The dunking booth will be located in front of the Dinero Plaza Building (1004 Big Spring). From 11:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm on October 16th. More information >>>
  
  
• Monday, October 20th through Saturday, October 25th - Days of Caring. Days of Caring is a community-wide event that connects volunteers with United Way Program Providers and other local health and human service organizations to promote volunteerism through community service. This year, Days of Caring will begin on October 20th and end on National Make a Difference Day, October 25th.
  
  For information or to participate in Days of Caring, contact Alison King (email aking@uwmidland.org). Deadline to participate is Friday, October 10th. United Way will match volunteers with a community project at one of our 23 program providers or other health and human service organization at your request. • Tuesday, October 21st - Dine-Out Day for United Way. Participating restaurants are donating a portion of their proceeds to the United Way of Midland Campaign. Please dine out (or carry out) at the following restaurants and thank them for their support of United Way. In addition to the Dine-Out Day, we will have a raffle for a grand prize of a dinner for two from each participating restaurant. Raffle tickets are $2 and will be available October 6th.
