2004 Campaign: Days of Caring

October 18th through October 23rd

Days of Caring is a community-wide event that connects volunteers with United Way Program Providers and other local health and human service organizations to promote volunteerism through community service. This year, Days of Caring will begin on October 18th and end on National Make a Difference Day, October 23rd.

United Way of Midland is once again partnering with local businesses to make Days of Caring a truly community focused event. We are asking local businesses to encourage their employees to volunteer a few hours of their time for projects such as; painting, gardening, repairing classrooms, and delivering meals to the elderly. This experience allows volunteers to witness first-hand how donated dollars meet the needs of our community through health and human service organizations.

Please consider joining us for Days of Caring 2004. It's a minimal time commitment; the work performed is very much needed and is for the betterment of our community. Through volunteering, you can help United Way program providers and other local health and human service organizations continue serving over 33,000 Midlanders every year.

To participate in Days of Caring, please review the list of available projects below and contact Alison King by email or phone: 685-7716. Deadline to participate is October 11th.
