2006 Campaign Highlights
United Way of Midland Kicks Off Its 59th Annual Campaign
On September 5, 2006, the United Way of Midland kicked-off its 59th Annual Campaign. Bobby Burns, of Robt. Burns Financial Group and former Midland Mayor, announced the 2006 Campaign Goal of $3,333,333.33 with help of :

- Monty Hoppel - Midland Rockhounds, General Manager
- Craig Yenzer - Midland High School, Head Football Coach
- Chris Jauz - Trinity School, Head Football Coach
- Greg McClendon - Midland Christian School, Head Football Coach
- Randy Quizenberry - Lee High School, Head Football Coach
- Kathy Posey - Midland Classical School, Principal
- Steve Taylor - Greenwood High School, Head Football Coach

United Way of Midland Campaign Celebration
2006 Campaign Chairman Bobby Burns celebrates Midland's success of raising $3,200,333.33 at the November 15th Campaign Celebration held at the Midland Center. Thanks to our Event Sponsors Henry Petroleum LP, Midland Memorial Hospital, Nabors Well Services, and OXY Permian Ltd.
Of course this event would not be complete without our Celebration Chefs. Thanks to Atmos Energy, Halliburton and Wilson Supply for providing and cooking our meal.

Loaned Executives
Since the 1994 Campaign, United Way of Midland has benefited from the Loaned Executive Program. Participants in this program are "loaned" or sponsored by Midland companies, and serve as full time campaign staff. Through this program, the campaign and the participants are positively impacted.
U.S. Representative Michael Conaway made a visit to Midland on Wednesday, August 30th. During this visit he stopped by the United Way of Midland to welcome aboard the 2006 Loaned Executives. Congressman Conaway is a Lifetime Board Member and supporter of United Way of Midland.
