• United Way of Midland 2010 Campaign Kickoff – August 24
  Please join us for the 2010 United Way of Midland Campaign Kickoff on August 24, 2010 at 9 am, Centennial Plaza in Downtown Midland. It’s time to change Midland for GOOD!
  
  
• September 10 - "Hot DAWG Days of Summer" will be taking place Friday, Sept 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Community National Bank, 401 W. Texas; 1st floor lounge. Open to the public.
  
  
• September 21 - City of Midland is sponsoring a Donkey Basketball game between the Midland Fire Department and the Midland Police Department on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Midland College ˆ Chap Center starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in advance from Olga Bustamante 685-7149, Angelica Olivas 685-7332, Gloria Newman 685-7582 & Jimmy Young 685-7963 or can be purchased the night of the event at the door. All ages welcome.
  
  
• September 24 - Paper Airplane Toss at the Midland International Airport - Come and try your best plane! Hit the Target and win some prizes. $2 per plane, $5 for 3. Lobby level of the airport September 24th, 8 am to 5 pm. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Midland. Event coordinated by City of Midland.

Bustin' Clay

The 9th Annual XTO Energy and Concho Resources Bustin' Clay for United Way took place Friday, August 27 at Jake's Clays.

Thanks to the support of the event committee, volunteers, sponsors and participants – the event was a success, raising over $125,000. Since the first Bustin' Clay in 2001, sponsors and participants have raised over $625,000 for United Way of Midland.
