2-1-1 is the abbreviated dialing code for FREE information and referrals about community health and human organizations and resources. While most people know to dial 9-1-1 to get help for emergencies and 4-1-1 to find a phone number, 2-1-1 serves as the first number to call to link individuals and families to appropriate resources and information.
This confidential and nationally-accredited service is staffed by highly-trained information and referral specialists dedicated to connecting you to the most appropriate community organizations and government agencies. The 211 Area Information Center (AIC) maintains a comprehensive regional database of resources including federal, state and local government agencies, community based organizations and qualified private businesses and the certified staff specialist can quickly refer you to an appropriate agency or resource.
Call 2-1-1 if you have questions about community resources such as…
- Social Services
