Midland Introspective 2007 Community Needs Assessment
Midland Introspective, the 2007 Community Needs Assessment, is a powerful tool to assist those who serve the people of Midland in providing solutions for real community needs. During the spring of 2007, 100 health and human service professionals representing 72 different organizations/programs participated in a process to self-evaluate our communitys strengths and challenges in the health and human services
arena. On June 6th, the results were outlined at the Midland Introspective 2007 Presentation Breakfast, sponsored by Citibank. The Executive Summary includes a description of the process and the four primary focus areas identified. The Community Priorities Report includes the target issues, objectives and strategies determined for each focus area. Also presented were the Proposed Next Steps which include the identification of a Task Force Leader and the formation of Task Force Teams for each focus area and/or target issue. Health and human service professionals, board members, and other community volunteers are encouraged to complete a Commitment Form indicating their interest in serving on one of the teams. This report was created to be a springboard for collective, strategic action. It is anticipated that community organizations committed to carrying this work forward will collaborate to refine action plans and work toward their implementation.
