United Ways Community Investment Volunteers prepare to review applications from non-profit programs for 2005/2006 funding
United Way of Midland has received a total of 66 applications for 2005/2006 program funding from area non-profits. These requests amounted to over 2.9 million dollars. Over the next 3 months, 50 Community Investment Panel volunteers will meet to review the applications, schedule on-site visits with the program providers, and then make recommendations for funding. These recommendations will be voted on by the United Way of Midland Board of Directors in mid-May. United Way will honor Community Investment volunteers and funding recipients at a reception scheduled for late May.
For more information on this process, contact Alice Freidline, Community Investment Director via email.
