The United Way of Midland Community Investment Reception took place on May 24 at the Midland Hilton & Towers. During this special event, programs receiving United Way funding were acknowledged and Community Investment volunteers were thanked.

Community Investment volunteers spent over 700 hours reviewing program funding applications, making on-site visits with the program providers, and then meeting again to make recommendations for funding. These recommendations were voted on by the United Way of Midland Board of Directors on May 17. A total of 60 programs offered through 24 local partner agencies will receive funding in 2005-2006.
