Wanted: Loaned Executives and Sponsors
The LE or Loaned Executive Program of the United Way of Midland is an outstanding relationship and community building program. Every year approximately ten participants, loaned or sponsored by Midland companies, serve as full time campaign staff. Through this program, the campaign and the participants are positively impacted.

Loaned Executives (or LEs) receive in-depth instruction in the operations of the United Way of Midland and make on-site visits to programs that receive United Way funding. They also have the opportunity to get personally involved in these programs during the campaign period by delivering meals to the homebound and elderly or interacting with children in after school programs.
LEs work directly with Employee Campaign Coordinators, designated employees who coordinate their internal company campaign. Together, the Employee Campaign Coordinator and the LE present United Way information to employees. LEs also make personal visits and calls on individuals, get involved with student campaigns at local campuses and participate in all campaign events.
This opportunity increases your employees communication and teamwork skills in addition to providing them with public speaking and community networking opportunities. Many can benefit from this experience - your employee, your business, the United Way and most importantly, our community.
Your company can participate in the LE program in the following ways:
Loan an Executive
Your company can loan an employee to United Way for the duration of the campaign while retaining all salary and benefits from his or her permanent place of employment.
Sponsor a Loaned Executive
If your company is unable to loan an employee, you may financially sponsor a Loaned Executive. This will provide the United Way a qualified full-time participant and minimize overhead costs.
The 2005 Campaign will kick off on September 1 and run through November 2. For more information on this program, email Beki Moorehead.
