Criteria for Grant Program Funding:

• For new programs, expansion of existing programs, or one-time projects that address identified community needs;
  
  
• Provider of health and human services in Midland County;
  
  
• Recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization;
  
  
• Governed by a local, volunteer Board of Directors.

Application Timeline:

• September 7 - Community Initiative Grant applications available.
  
  
• September 30 - Grant application packets due in United Way of Midland office.
  
  
• October 10-28 - Volunteers review grant applications by phone and/or on-site visit
  
  
• November 1-3 - Grant Committee meets to make recommendations
  
  
• November 15 - Board of Directors approve final grant allocations. Recipients will be notified by mail.
  
  
• December 15 - Grants awarded
