Community Matters - Make a difference by volunteering during United Ways Days of Caring
Days of Caring is a community-wide event that connects volunteers with United Way Program Providers and other local health and human service organizations to promote volunteerism through community service. This year, Days of Caring will begin on March 20th and end March 31st.
United Way of Midland is once again partnering with local businesses to make Days of Caring a truly community focused event. We are asking local businesses to encourage their employees to volunteer a few hours of their time for projects such as; painting, gardening, spending time with children and delivering meals to the elderly. This experience allows volunteers to witness first-hand how donated dollars meet the needs of our community through health and human service organizations.

Local Employees participate in Days of Caring projects:
(l-r) American State Bank volunteers paint a therapy room at Midland Rape Crisis & Children's Advocacy Center; a BP employee paints steps at the Boys & Girls Club; A volunteer from Encore Broadcasting prepares meals for elderly and homebound at Community & Senior Services; KICKS 99.1 staff donates books to Midland Need to Read
Please consider joining us for Days of Caring 2006. It's a minimal time commitment; the work performed is very much needed and is for the betterment of our community. Through volunteering, you can help United Way program providers and other local health and human service organizations continue serving over 33,000 Midlanders every year.
