First National Bank of Midland will participate in Grocery Basket Race at Super Mercado to benefit United Way of Midland
October 17, 2002 - Midland, TX As part of the First National Bank of Midland (123 N. Colorado) Company United Way Campaign, three bank officers will race down the isles of Super Mercado Thriftway (2208 N. Big Spring) on Monday, October 21 at 8:00 pm. As they race down the isles, the officers will grab groceries for a 3-minute period. The most expensive basket will be declared the winning basket and Super Mercado will donate the contents of the basket. These items will be raffled off to the public on October 23, 2002 at 5pm. Raffle tickets are $2.00 and can be purchased from any First National bank employee or at Super Mercado Thriftway.
United Way of Midlands 2002 Campaign will end October 29, 2002. Any individual or company interested in giving to the campaign can make a donation by visiting our website at www.uwmidland.org; by calling the United Way Office at 685-7700; or by visiting the United Way of Midland office at 1209 W. Wall, Midland, TX 79701.
The proceeds of this campaign will benefit four basic areas in Midland; strengthening and supporting families, helping kids succeed, assisting with basic and emergency needs, and promoting health, wellness and independence.
United Way of Midland assess the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
