United Way of Midland to Announce 2002 Campaign Total at Campaign Finale on October 29, 2002
October 21, 2002 - Midland, TX – United Way of Midland will announce the total amount raised for the 2002 campaign at the campaign finale on Tuesday, October 29. Keith Weiser, this year’s Campaign Chair, will make the announcement. The finale will take place downtown at the Midland Center, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Local companies sponsoring this event are: ConocoPhillips, Key Energy Services Inc., Oxy Permian, Schlumberger, Warren Equipment Company, and Wells Fargo Bank Texas NA. Tickets are $15 and are available by calling 685-7708; by faxing 682-4462; or by emailing info@uwmidland.org.
This year’s campaign goal, announced at campaign kickoff on August 17th, is $3,000,001. The proceeds of this campaign will benefit four basic areas in Midland; strengthening and supporting families, helping kids succeed, assisting with basic and emergency needs, and promoting health, wellness and independence.
United Way of Midland assess the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
