United Ways of Midland and Odessa join KOSA, Freedom Cleaners and Zenith Cleaners in “Coats for Kids” Coat Drive
October 25, 2002 - Midland, TX – The United Way of Midland is pleased to join KOSA-CBS 7, the United Way of Odessa, Zenith Cleaners in Midland and Freedom Cleaners in Odessa for the 2002 “Coats For Kids” project.
The coat drive begins October 28th and will end on November 21st. Midland-Odessa residents are encouraged to donate children’s and teenager’s coats to children and teens in need. The coats may be dropped off at any of the following locations:
- Any of the four Zenith Cleaners locations in Midland
- All Freedom Cleaners in Odessa
- KOSA-CBS 7, Music City Mall, Odessa
- United Way of Midland
- United Way of Odessa
At the conclusion of the coat drive, United Way of Midland will deliver coats collected in Midland to The Salvation Army in Midland and the United Way of Odessa will deliver coats collected in Odessa to The Salvation Army in Odessa. Both locations of The Salvation Army will handle the distribution of the coats.
United Way of Midland assess the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
