First National Bank and Super Mercado present Grocery Basket Race Raffle Winner with $450 gift certificate on November 4th
November 1, 2002 - Midland, TX As part of the First National Bank of Midland (123 N. Colorado) Company United Way Campaign, three bank officers raced down the isles of Super Mercado Thriftway (2208 N. Big Spring) on Monday, October 21, grabbing as many groceries as they could during a 3-minute period. Ken Burgess, CEO of First National Bank, proved to have the most expensive basket, with groceries totaling $450.00.
Super Mercado donated a gift certificate in the amount of the winning basket to First National Bank for a raffle contest. Proceeds of the raffle benefited United Way of Midland. The winning ticket was drawn on Friday, October 25th. Representatives from First National Bank ans Super Mercado will present the winner with the $450 certificate on Monday, November 4th at 5:00 pm at the Super Mercado Thriftway (2208 N. Big Spring).
