Midland RockHounds August 23rd Game is United Way Night at the Ballpark, $5 Ticket Vouchers Available at United Way of Midland
August 20, 2003 - Midland, TX – Midland RockHounds will donate a percentage of ticket sales from August 23rd game to United Way of Midland.
$5 ticket vouchers are available at United Way of Midland for the Midland RockHounds’ August 23rd game against the Frisco Rough Riders. All First American Bank locations will also have the vouchers available for purchase.
“We are thrilled that the Midland RockHounds have presented us with the opportunity to partner with them and raise funds for this year’s campaign. RockHounds games are such a popular event here in Midland and we are looking forward to a good game, fireworks and a packed ballpark on Saturday,” said Cynthia Benson, Executive Director of United Way of Midland. “We have invited our Program Providers to bring informative materials on their United Way funded programs. We want to educate the community on where their money goes when they contribute to United Way –into programs that solve community needs.”
United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
