August 21, 2003 - Midland, TX United Way of Midland will kick off their 2003 Campaign on August 28th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Centennial Plaza, 105 N. Main.
2003 Campaign Chair, Jim Byerlotzer will announce this years campaign goal and recognize key individuals involved in raising this years funds. The program will also include a check presentation from Jose Cuevas, local owner of JumBurrito Restaurants, and a live musical performance by Shane Parker.
Midlanders have a reputation for being generous. Past campaigns have seen contributions that have enabled United Way to fund programs that help to meet the needs of children, senior citizens, and those affected by disasters, said Mr. Byerlotzer, 2003 Campaign Chair. I hope friends, families and neighbors will join us for our kickoff event and I encourage my fellow Midlanders to participate in the 2003 campaign so that United Way can continue to provide effective solutions to community needs.
This event is free to the public, thanks to the generous event sponsors: Bryan Coleman, ChevronTexaco, Coca-Cola, Henry Petroleum LP, Key Energy, Oxy Permian, Pecos Production Company, and Wells Fargo.
