Burlington Resources Inc. and Halliburton to raise over $16,000 to benefit United Way of Midland at September 20 Clay Shoot Event
September 12, 2003 - Midland, TX – Burlington Resources and Halliburton are inviting the community to participate in the second annual Bustin’ Clay for United Way Sporting Clay Championship. Event date is Saturday, September 20 at Windwalker Farms Sporting Clay Complex (map included in fax).
Last year, this event raised $16,000 for the 2002 United Way of Midland Campaign and the event coordinators plan to raise even more this year. There will be two shooting rotations, beginning at 9 am and 1 pm. Lunch will be served from 12pm – 1pm. Registration fee is $125 and registration begins at 8:30 am. Funds raised during the 2003 Campaign will go to approved health and human service programs. United Way of Midland is currently funding 59 local programs through 23 program providers. A listing of these programs can be found here.
United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
