Dunk Your Boss Event to Raise Money for United Way of Midland
October 13, 2003 - Midland, TX Dunk your boss on Bosss Day (October 16). Centers for Children & Families (1004 Big Spring) will have a Dunk Your Boss event as part of their fundraising campaign for United Way of Midland.
Mayor Mike Canon, City Council members, United Way Campaign Chair Jim Byerlotzer, United Way Executive Director Cindy Benson, Jim Henry of Henry Petroleum and other bosses have graciously agreed to be dunked for a good cause.
The dunking booth will be located in front of the Dinero Plaza Building (1004 Big Spring). From 11:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm on October 16th. The cost will be $5 for three balls and/or $10 for ten balls to throw at the target. Guaranteed dunks will also be available for purchase. Once a person has used their three or ten shots and still hasnt hit the target, he or she can pay an additional $5 to go up to the dunking booth and push the target.
Funds raised by Centers for Children and Families during this event will be donated to United Way of Midland 2003 Campaign.
United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
