United Way Days of Caring, October 20th- 25th, Promotes Volunteerism and Helps Program Providers Continue To Serve Midlanders

October 20, 2003 - Midland, TXDays of Caring, a community-wide event that connects volunteers with United Way Program Providers and other local health and human service organizations to promote volunteerism through community service, will begin on October 20th and end on National Make a Difference Day, October 25th.

United Way of Midland has partnered with local businesses to make Days of Caring a community focused event. We asked local business leaders to encourage their employees to volunteer a few hours of their time for projects such as; painting, gardening, repairing classrooms, working with children, and delivering meals to the elderly. This experience allows volunteers to witness first-hand how donated dollars meet the needs of our community through health and human service organizations.

Below is a list of local companies and the service project they have chosen to complete. Through volunteering, these companies are helping United Way program providers continue to serve over 30,000 Midlanders every year.
