Pure Resources, Inc to raise over $22,000 to benefit United Way of Midland at October 29 Golf Tournament
October 28, 2003 - Midland, TX – Pure Resources’ “Pure Drives for United Way” Golf Tournament will take place Wednesday, October 29th at Ranchland Hills Country Club (1600 E. Wadley Ave.) Event organizers estimate that they will raise over $22,000 through this event. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Midland.
The first rotation will begin at 7:30 am, lunch will take place at 12:00 pm, and the second rotation will begin at 1:00 pm. An awards dinner will follow the tournament at 6:00 pm.
Pure Resources’ John Downing is part of the planning team for this event and will be available for interviews during the tournament.
Funds raised during the 2003 Campaign will go to approved health and human service programs. United Way of Midland is currently funding 59 local programs through 23 program providers.
United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
