United Way of Midland to Fund 60 Local Programs in 2004 Thanks to the Communitys Generosity
January 7, 2004 - Midland, TX The United Way of Midland is pleased to announce that 60 local programs will receive funding in 2004. This funding is made possible by Midlanders who invested in their community through United Way.
Funding applications were reviewed by United Way Volunteer Review Panels. These panels studied the programs, the budget information and conducted on-site visits. After reviewing the applications, representatives from these panels recommended to the Community Investment Cabinet which programs should receive funding along with funding amounts. The Cabinet then brought these recommendations together in a cohesive, consistent manner and presented them to the United Way Board of Directors for approval in December of 2003.
The following 60 programs, listed below the agency providing the program and grouped by impact area, were approved by the United Way Board of Directors. Distribution of funding will begin in January. For more details on these programs and their providers, please visit the Community Investment section.
