United Way to Elect New Officers and Board Members and Recognize Leaders in Giving on March 2, 2004
February 25, 2004 - Midland, TX United Way of Midland will hold their Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Petroleum Club, 501 W. Wall St. This event is sponsored by: ChevronTexaco, EOG Resources, Henry Petroleum, Key Energy Services, Inc., OXY Permian, Trend Exploration, and Wells Fargo Bank NA.
Outgoing United Way of Midland Board President, Ron Mullins will be recognized for his leadership of United Way and Frank Stowers, the 2004 Board President, will be installed along with new officers and board members.
Awards will be presented to select companies and individuals who helped the 2003 Campaign exceed its $3,000,000 goal.
Many Midlanders chose to invest in our community through United Way and we are very proud of the results of the 2003 Campaign. Thanks to their investment, we were able to fund 59 local programs last year. These programs help kids succeed; strengthen and support families; assist with basic and emergency needs; and promote health, wellness and independence, said Cynthia Y. Benson, Executive Director of United Way of Midland, Next weeks Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon is our chance to recognize and thank the many people that make successes like this possible.
