United Way to Announce Campaign Goal During Press Conference September 7, 2004 at 3:10 pm
September 1, 2004 - Midland, TX – United Way of Midland Campaign will begin Tuesday, September 7th with a Press Conference at United Way of Midland offices (1209 W. Wall.) at 3:10pm. Ron Mullins, the 2004 Campaign Chair will announce the campaign goal, kick-off the campaign and share his thoughts on the importance of giving to United Way and investing in what matters.
“The success of the 2004 Campaign rests on the shoulders of all Midlanders. The media is a huge cornerstone of the success of this campaign coupled with all the United Way volunteers and staff along with all of the generous citizens of Midland”, said Ron Mullins, United Way of Midland 2004 Campaign Chair. “Through this press conference we hope to inform as many Midlanders as possible of the importance of investing in their community through United Way.”
A brief media reception with refreshments will immediately follow the press conference. During the reception Mr. Mullins will be available for individual media interviews.
The United Way of Midland Campaign will run from September 7th to November 3rd. Funds raised during the 2004 Campaign will go to approved health and human service programs. United Way of Midland is currently funding 59 local programs through 25 program providers. A listing of these programs can be found here.
