Midland Memorial Hospital CEO Agrees to United Way Campaign Competition among Local Hospitals
September 13, 2004 - Midland, TX Midland Memorial Hospital Director & CEO, Russell Meyers, will meet with his employees on Wednesday, September 15th at 10:30 am to encourage them to give to United Way of Midland and challenge them to give as much or more than other area hospital employees.
This meeting will be held at the Midland Memorial Hospital Main Campus (2200 W. Illinois Ave) room E6 (located in the basement). Media is encouraged to attend. For further directions, go directly to the Administrative Offices on the first floor and a hospital employee will escort you to room E6.
This friendly competition is between Midland Memorial Hospital, Odessa Medical Center Hospital, Odessa Regional Hospital, Alliance Hospital (Odessa) and HealthSouth (Midland & Odessa) to see which employee group has the healthiest participation in supporting our communities through United Way.
Each hospital is working to grow community involvement and awareness of their employees through this per capita giving based competition.
The Director of the hospital with the highest employee per capita giving at the end of the competition will receive an extreme makeover by Midlands own Greenie the clown. This makeover will be viewed by the winning employee group at their finale celebration. Additionally, the winning Director and his/her guests will be served lunch in their home cafeteria by the Directors of each of the remaining participation hospitals.
United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
