United Way of Midland to Kickoff 60th Annual Campaign and Announce Campaign Goal
August 31, 2007 - Midland, TX The 2007 United Way of Midland Campaign will begin Thursday, September 6th at DeZavala Elementary front lawn (705 N. Lee), 2pm. Charles Spence, the 2007 Campaign Chair, along with special guests, such as Dr. Sylvester Perez, Midland High School Band, City Representatives, M-Squad and students of DeZavala will kickoff the campaign by sharing thoughts on the importance of giving to the community through United Way and investing in what matters.
Mr. Spence will be available for individual media interviews immediately following the press conference.
The United Way of Midland Campaign will run from September 6th to November 12th. Funds raised during the 2007 Campaign will go to approved health and human service programs. United Way of Midland is currently funding 62 local programs through 25 program providers. A listing of these programs can be found at www.uwmidland.org. United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
