City of Midland to Name Corner of Wall & ‘F’ Street “United Way”

September 18, 2007 - Midland, TX – The City of Midland Transportation Department will mount a new sign to the corner of Wall & ‘F’ Street on Friday, September 21, 2007, 10:00 a.m. 1209 W. Wall St., (corner of Wall and ‘F’ Streets). The sign will name this intersection as “United Way” for the duration of the 2007 United Way of Midland Campaign, which will run through November 12.

Funds raised during the 2007 Campaign will go to approved health and human service programs. United Way of Midland is currently funding 62 local programs through 25 program providers. A listing of these programs can be found at www.uwmidland.org.

United Way of Midland assesses the health and human service needs in Midland County and addresses those needs through the raising and distributing of funds to qualified 501(c)(3) health and human service programs. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
