Midland Fair Havens: Supportive Transitional Housing

Chasidy came to Midland Fair Havens from Teen Challenge. She was awarded Deferred Adjudication for a felony arrest from 2015 which allowed her to participate in the Midland County Drug Court program.

Her desire was to get her 3 children back into her life and return to school. She was hesitant to do either of these things without the structure and support she had experienced while she was at Teen Challenge.

In 7 months at MFH, she’s made amazing growth. She’s invested in personal healing through counseling, support groups and church attendance. She’s retained a job and was given a raise which has allowed her to build an emergency fund, start a savings, and retire debt. She’s started at MC and plans to transfer to UTPB this fall.

Most importantly, she’s re-established her role as mother to her 3 beautiful children. Chasidy recently stated, “I wasn’t ready to walk back into the world from which I’d fallen so many times and Midland Fair Havens has been a way for me to be successful.”
