Community Children's Clinic: Pharmacy

Cindy has two young boys, both that had been sick for several days with no improvement. She is a single mom who had insurance through her employer until she was laid off due to COVID-19.

She called her doctor’s office, but when they told her the basic fee would be $180, and tests needed would be additional, she was distraught. She knew she could not cover the cost of the visit, tests, and medication.

In desperation, she contacted the school nurse, who referred her to Community Children’s Clinic. Dr. Case examined both boys and after running a few tests, they were diagnosed with strep throat.

When Cindy discovered the medication was included in the price of the visit, she was overjoyed. “I didn’t know what I was going to do.” They left with Tylenol, antibiotics, and toothbrushes. Everything they needed for a quick recovery.
