Power of the Purse

You are your friends are cordially invited to United Way of Midland's Power of the Purse! 

Our Power of the Purse event will feature shopping with locally owned businesses, 5 rounds of bingo with multiple opportunities to win a designer bag, raffles for two high-end deigner bags, dinner and desserts, and more! As we enjoy a night of fun and games, United Way will honor Lori Wesley with our first even Women's United award. 

All net proceeds from this event benefit United Way of Midland's Innovative Grants. Since 2013, United Way of Midland volunteers have granted over $352,492 to help strengthen our community through projects such as refurbishing senior housing with Midland Parker Place, replacing soiled mattresses and a commerical refrigerator at Safe Place of the Permian Basin, and remodeling a room with Basin Dream Center allowing them to double the number of beds available for girls aging out of foster care.
