2017 Community Grant Recipients

The United Way of Midland Community Grant Program provides support to nonprofit health and human service organizations for immediate and creative responses to needs in our community. Through this program, one-year Community Grants will be allocated for the following: 
  • A new or expanded innovative program that addresses one of  the Community Outcomes identified by United Way of Midland 
  • A one-time project
To review applications, United Way used a volunteer-driven process to recommend how available funds could be most effectively invested to achieve positive community results in the areas of education, self-sufficiency and health. 
 
This year, 8 programs at 8 agencies will receive a collective total of $39,527.
  • Agape Counseling Services of West Texas- Therapy Intern Program
  • Casa de Amigos- Reading Tables for Children's Library
  • Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest- Security Improvement to the Midland Program Center
  • Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland- Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland Building Addition
  • PDAP- Capacity/Building Tech Asst. Grant
  • Samaritan Counseling- LED Efficient Lighting
  • Senior Link Midland- Fans for Texas Size Garage Sale Warehouse
  • Unlock Ministries- Op Champs/Parent University Mentoring Program
